General Operative – Cabins & Containers

About Us

Cabins & Containers Ireland is a well-established, Meath-based company specialising in the sale and hire of portable site accommodation and shipping containers throughout Ireland.

We supply a wide range of products, including site offices, canteens, toilet blocks, drying rooms and modular accommodation.

We are currently recruiting for the role of General Operatives to join our busy yard and production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, sand and refurbish cabins and containers to a high standard.
• Clean and prepare cabins for delivery to customers.
• Assist with spray painting and finishing works.
• Work alongside carpenters, welders and other skilled tradespeople.
• Assist with general maintenance, repairs and refurbishment of units.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Carry out other general yard and production duties as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a general operative, construction, manufacturing or similar role is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, welding, spray painting or construction would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Own transport is essential due to our rural location between Kells and Navan.
