General Operative

We are seeking a proactive and reliable individual to join our Operations team as a General Operative, with the main focus of the role being within our Despatch department.

This is a hands-on role responsible for helping ensure products and orders are prepared, checked and despatched accurately and on time. You will also provide support within our Clean & Pack area and other operational areas when required.

Key duties will include:

• Preparing products and orders ready for despatch.
• Checking orders to ensure they are complete and accurate.
• Packing, labelling and organising items ready for collection.
• Loading and unloading vehicles and moving products safely around the site.
• Ensuring despatch paperwork is completed accurately.
• Supporting the Clean & Pack area when required.
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe.
• Carrying out other general operational duties as directed by supervisors.

• Good physical fitness to carry out manual handling duties.
• Commitment to maintaining workplace safety and cleanliness.
• Previous despatch, warehouse or similar experience would be an advantage but is not essential, as training will be provided.
• A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence would be desirable but is not essential.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, and Friday from 7:30am to 15:00pm.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 42.0 per week
