• Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis:Conduct thorough eye examinations to diagnose eye conditions and diseases
• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results
• Develop treatment plans based on diagnoses
• Medical and Surgical Treatment:Prescribe and administer appropriate medications
• Perform surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, LASIK, and corneal surgeries
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to surgical patients
• Patient Education:Educate patients about their eye conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures
• Address patient questions and concerns regarding their eye health
• Medical Records and Documentation:Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Document patient progress and treatment plans
• Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with other medical professionals, including optometrists and other specialists, to coordinate care
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Continuing Education:Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology through continuing education and professional development
