General Physician

I. JOB SUMMARY

The General Physician is responsible for providing quality medical consultations, conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and treating common illnesses, and promoting preventive healthcare. The physician shall ensure that all patients receive appropriate medical care in accordance with established medical standards, professional ethics, and applicable laws and regulations. The position may also involve conducting physical examinations, medical clearances, and other clinic-related medical services as required.

II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct medical consultations and assess patients presenting with various illnesses, symptoms, and health concerns.
• Obtain relevant medical histories and perform physical examinations to determine patients' health conditions.
• Diagnose and manage common medical conditions within the physician's scope of practice.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and medical interventions based on clinical findings.
• Request and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic procedures, and other examinations when medically indicated.
• Refer patients to specialists or appropriate healthcare facilities when further evaluation or specialized treatment is necessary.
• Conduct physical examinations for pre-employment, annual physical examination (APE), and other occupational health requirements, as authorized and applicable.
• Provide medical assessments, treatment recommendations, and health advice to promote disease prevention and wellness.
• Administer or supervise appropriate medical care for patients requiring urgent attention and arrange referrals or transfers when necessary.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and complete medical records, consultation notes, prescriptions, and other required documentation.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with applicable data privacy requirements and medical recordkeeping policies.
• Coordinate with nurses, medical technologists, radiologic technologists, and other clinic personnel to support efficient patient care.
• Follow established clinic policies, infection prevention and control procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and comply with documentation and reporting requirements.
• Perform other related medical duties as may be assigned by the Medical Director or Clinic Administrator, provided they are consistent with the physician's qualifications and scope of practice.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized medical school.
• Must be a duly licensed physician with a valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license.
• Must possess a valid Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card, as applicable.
• Must have good clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and patient assessment capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Previous clinical experience is an advantage, but qualified applicants with relevant training may be considered.

V. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The General Physician is expected to provide safe, ethical, timely, and patient-centered medical care; maintain complete and accurate medical documentation; comply with clinic policies and applicable laws; and work collaboratively with clinic personnel to support the delivery of quality healthcare services.

Pay: Php2,500.00 per day
