About the Role Step into a varied, client-facing position at a well-resourced  practice. Acting as the direct second-in-command to the Lead Partner, you will advise a high-quality, established client base. This role provides a balance of autonomy and mentorship, allowing you to take the lead on files while having expert guidance readily available for complex matters involving corporate structuring, property transactions, and trust management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Advise clients directly on diverse legal matters, acting as their primary point of contact and building enduring relationships.
• Assist with case strategy, negotiations, and drafting pleadings.
• Draft and review complex commercial contracts, corporate structuring documents, and shareholder agreements.
• Manage end-to-end residential and commercial conveyancing files, alongside broader trust and estate administration.

Skills and Experience

• Bring a minimum of three years of PQE and a solid academic record.
• Hold a current New Zealand practicing certificate.
• Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
• Exhibit a confident, capable, and highly team-oriented mindset with the ability to independently manage competing deadlines.
