General Practitioner

We are looking for a General Practitioner to join our team at Willis Medical, a well-established practice in central Wellington with a varied and interesting patient population, a strong focus on quality care and a great workplace culture.

Our practice is Foundation Standard accredited and is currently working towards Cornerstone accreditation.

We are well supported by an excellent nursing and administration team and enjoy a friendly and supportive working environment. We hold regular team and clinical meetings and value approachability, good communication and a collaborative approach to patient care.

We are looking for a GP who is eligible to work in New Zealand and is either vocationally registered in General Practice or intending to become vocationally registered.

The successful applicant will be committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of professionalism. You will enjoy working as part of a team while also being able to work autonomously within your scope of practice. A commitment to equity and upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi is essential.

This is a permanent employee position, and we are open to negotiating hours and days worked.

Consultations are standard 15-minute appointments, Monday to Friday. Participation in the Wellington After Hours and Urgent Care roster is required, in line with standard requirements for GPs working in Wellington.
