General Practitioner

Private General Practitioner, with Home and Hotel Visits. Sessional, London W1H 6AZ.

You will run same-day and pre-booked consultations in clinic, remotely and as home and hotel visits across London, interpret extended blood panels, and hold the thread across imaging, specialist opinion and our own programmes, so that no patient is ever left keeping track of their own care.

About The Wellness

The Wellness is a doctor-led private clinic built around precision diagnostics and preventive care. We help people understand their health in detail, through advanced blood panels, imaging and physician-led interpretation, and we track that picture over time through wai, the medical intelligence we build in house.

Why work with us

What you will deliver

• Same-day and pre-booked consultations for adults and children, in person, remotely and as home and hotel visits, including early morning, evening and weekend sessions.

• Interpretation of extended blood panels, translated into something the patient understands and can act on this week.

• Clear, safe onward referral into imaging, specialist opinion and our internal programmes, with the loop closed.

• Prescribing, vaccination, travel health, medicals and reports handled to the standard a private patient is paying for.

• Continuity. Patients under your care see you again, and their history and results follow them into every appointment.

• Escalation judged correctly. You know when something needs secondary care today.

Requirements

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise, and inclusion on the GMC GP Register.

• MRCGP or equivalent.

• Current annual appraisal with a named Responsible Officer, and revalidation up to date.

• Independent professional indemnity covering private general practice, including remote consultations and home and hotel visits.

• Current safeguarding training for adults and children, and current basic life support and anaphylaxis training.

• At least two years of independent practice after CCT, or equivalent.

• A DBS check at the level appropriate to the role, arranged through our credentialing process, and the right to work in the UK.

Preferred

• Recent experience in private or self-pay general practice in London.

• Experience of home visits or hotel visits.

• Experience with extended biomarker panels, health screening or executive medicals.

• Additional languages. We look after patients from all over the world.

• A procedural skill such as minor surgery, joint injection or coil fitting.

• An interest in preventive and longevity medicine.

How the engagement works

Sessions are agreed in advance and scheduled around your existing NHS or private commitments. The engagement is on a self-employed basis under a contract for services. You are credentialed through our clinical governance process before your first clinic, and clinical decisions and clinical responsibility remain yours.

Compensation

Hourly, and competitive for London private practice. You are never charged for rooms, equipment, consumables or administrative support.

Hiring process

Application, culture test, introductory call with the clinical lead, clinical conversation with the doctors you would work alongside, credentialing checks, and a first clinic, paid, so that both sides can see how the work actually feels.
