General Practitioner (GP) - Christchurch

Doctor Alliance is currently working with an established Christchurch general practice looking to welcome an experienced GP to their team.

This is a great opportunity for a doctor looking for a supportive practice environment, good work-life balance and the chance to build a long-term position in Christchurch.

About the role

You’ll be joining a well-established general practice providing a broad range of primary care services to the local community.

The practice offers 15-minute appointments, allowing doctors more time with patients and supporting a good standard of continuity of care.

The role can be structured around the right doctor, with flexibility around sessions and working arrangements depending on availability and experience.

About you

We’d love to hear from GPs who are looking for a stable, supportive practice and who enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.

You may already be practising in New Zealand, be considering relocating to Christchurch, or be an overseas-trained GP interested in moving to New Zealand.

Ideally, you will have:

• Current or eligible Medical Council of New Zealand registration
• General practice experience
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
• A collaborative approach to working with other GPs, nurses and support staff
• An interest in building a longer-term relationship with the practice

Overseas GPs

Doctor Alliance also works with internationally trained GPs who may be eligible for registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
