About the role

Family Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) to join our healthcare team in Thalang, Phuket. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population. As a GP, you will be at the forefront of patient care, providing diagnosis, treatment, and preventative medicine services to individuals and families within our community. This role is fundamental to our mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to the residents of Phuket.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient consultations and assessments to diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
• Performing routine physical examinations and health screenings for patients of all ages
• Prescribing medications and other therapeutic interventions appropriate to patient conditions
• Maintaining detailed and accurate patient medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Providing preventative healthcare advice and health promotion counselling to patients
• Managing chronic disease conditions through ongoing monitoring and treatment plans
• Referring patients to specialist services when clinically indicated
• Staying current with medical developments and maintaining professional knowledge through continuing medical education
• Collaborating with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Contributing to a positive and professional healthcare environment that prioritises patient safety and satisfaction

What we're looking for

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent qualification) recognised by the appropriate medical regulatory body
• Current medical licensure and registration to practise as a General Practitioner
• Proven experience in general practice, primary care or family medicine
• Strong clinical knowledge and competency in diagnosing and managing common medical conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work independently whilst being a collaborative team member
• Proficiency in medical record systems and electronic health records (EHR)
• Commitment to evidence-based medicine and continuing professional development
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Thai or other local languages is highly desirable
• Willingness to undertake hotel, villa and home consultations.
