General Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner

Join a local Iwi owned and ran primary care organisation that puts their community first and strives to provide accessible and high quality care. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team that are passionate in the work they do and the community they support. Options to work across two General practices in Kaitaia and Coopers Beach or be based from one.

• 4 or 5 days per week
• 20 minute appointments, 2 admin hours, 1 hour lunch
• No on call or weekend work
• Mix of acute and routine care
• Medtech Evolution
• Wide variety of work in a rural setting
• Preference for long term employees/contractors, though also open to short term stints up to a minimum of 3 months

Essential skills and experience

• Registration with the Medical Council of NZ and a current APC, ideally with FRNCGP or be comfortable practising independently OR a registered Nurse Practitioner with the New Zealand Nursing Council with the ability to practice independently
• A genuine commitment to patient-centred and culturally responsive care
• Confident working in a rural, fast-paced clinic
• A focus on comprehensive preventative care
• Develop tailored care to each patients needs, ensuring continuity of care
• Collaborative, team-focused, and community-minded
