About MedXL

MedXL is seeking qualified and dedicated Family Physicians / General Practitioners to join our network of partner clinics, hospitals, and pharmacy-based healthcare practices across Ontario, Canada.

We welcome experienced physicians, recent graduates, and internationally trained medical professionals who meet the applicable licensing and registration requirements in Ontario.

Our goal is to connect healthcare professionals with opportunities in collaborative, patient-centered environments while providing support with relocation, onboarding, and professional integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services in clinic and community-based settings.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Conduct patient consultations, medical examinations, and follow-up assessments.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Refer patients to specialists and other healthcare professionals when clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with nurses, pharmacists, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Deliver culturally sensitive, patient-centered care to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Follow applicable Ontario healthcare regulations, professional standards, and clinical guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or an equivalent recognized medical qualification.
• Licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), or eligible to pursue the applicable Ontario registration pathway.
• Board-certified or eligible for certification in Family Medicine or General Practice, as applicable.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care abilities.
• Commitment to ethical medical practice, patient confidentiality, and quality healthcare delivery.
• Experience in family practice, walk-in clinics, community healthcare, or pharmacy-based medical settings is an asset.

Internationally Trained Physicians Welcome

Applications are welcome from Canadian and internationally trained physicians, including candidates with relevant qualifications or certifications from:

• Canada
• United Kingdom (CCT / MRCGP)
• Ireland (MICGP)
• United States (ABFM)
• Australia (FRACGP)
• New Zealand (FRACGP)

All applicants must meet the applicable CPSO registration, licensing, and practice requirements before providing medical services in Ontario.

Recent graduates and internationally trained physicians are encouraged to apply if they meet the relevant eligibility criteria.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive Revenue-Sharing Model: 80/20 revenue split, negotiable and subject to the applicable agreement.
• Relocation Assistance: Support with housing arrangements, banking setup, and community onboarding, subject to eligibility and program availability.
• Travel Reimbursement: Interview-related travel expenses may be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable policy.
• Parking: Free assigned parking available at most practice locations.
• Licensing and Supervision Support: Access to qualified supervisors, where required and available.
• Immigration Support: Sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates under applicable immigration and licensing pathways. LMIA support may be available, subject to eligibility and approval.
• Flexible Scheduling: Opportunities to discuss work schedules based on clinic requirements and mutual agreement.
• Administrative and Clinical Support: Work with experienced support staff in a collaborative healthcare environment.
