About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our healthcare team at PMG Healthcare. This is a full-time position based in Bintulu, Sarawak, where you will provide primary medical care and serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking healthcare services. This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare to the communities we serve. Key responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient consultations and medical assessments
• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions
• Prescribing medications and managing patient pharmacotherapy
• Performing routine clinical procedures and minor surgical interventions
• Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records for all patients
• Providing health education and preventive care advice to patients
• Referring patients to specialist services when appropriate
• Managing chronic disease monitoring and follow-up care
• Undertaking health screenings and vaccinations
• Collaborating with nursing staff and administrative teams to ensure efficient service delivery
• Adhering to all medical ethics, professional standards, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• A valid medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) recognised by the relevant medical regulatory bodies in Malaysia
• Current and valid General Practitioner registration with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
• A valid and current practising certificate
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings
• Strong clinical knowledge and competency in diagnosing and managing common medical conditions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
• Proficiency in English, Malay and Mandarin
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of patient care
• A commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Preferably, experience working in primary healthcare clinics or rural healthcare settings
