About the role

PMG Healthcare SDN. BHD. is seeking a qualified General Practitioner to join our healthcare team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care services to our diverse patient population. As a General Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of patient care, delivering high-quality medical services, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans that meet the needs of our community. This role is integral to our mission of providing accessible and compassionate healthcare to all our patients.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting patient consultations, taking medical histories, and performing physical examinations to assess patient health conditions
• Diagnosing illnesses and medical conditions using clinical expertise and appropriate diagnostic tools
• Prescribing medications and developing individualised treatment plans tailored to patient needs
• Managing chronic diseases and providing ongoing care and monitoring for patients with long-term health conditions
• Providing health promotion and disease prevention advice to patients
• Referring patients to specialists or hospital services when necessary
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
• Responding to urgent medical matters and providing emergency care when required
• Staying updated on medical advancements and best practices in general practice

What we're looking for

• Valid Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent qualification recognised in Malaysia)
• Current registration with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC) or eligibility to register
• Valid medical practising licence issued by the relevant regulatory authority
• Completion of mandatory internship or housemanship as required by Malaysian medical regulations
• Proficiency in English, Chinese and Malay
• Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise multiple patients
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of professional conduct and medical ethics
• Prior experience in general practice or primary care is advantageous
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred
