About the role

PMG Healthcare SDN. BHD. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner to join our medical team in Limbang, Sarawak. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to provide primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population. As a General Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of patient care, delivering comprehensive medical services, diagnoses, and treatment plans whilst maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Conducting thorough patient consultations and medical examinations to diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
• Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient's medical needs and circumstances
• Prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests where necessary, ensuring appropriate clinical decision-making
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive medical records for all patients in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Providing preventative healthcare advice and health education to promote wellness and disease prevention
• Referring patients to specialist services when required and liaising with secondary care providers
• Managing minor surgical procedures and minor injuries in accordance with clinical protocols
• Staying updated with current medical knowledge and best practice guidelines within general practice
• Contributing to the overall quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance within the practice
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with patients, colleagues and healthcare partners

What we're looking for

• A recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited medical school
• Full registration or provisional registration with the relevant medical regulatory body in Malaysia
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in general practice or primary healthcare settings
• Strong clinical knowledge and competency in diagnosing and managing common medical conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse patient populations
• Proficiency in English and Chinese language
• A patient-centred approach to healthcare delivery with a commitment to providing high-quality care
• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple patient consultations efficiently
• Fluency in English and Malay; additional language skills are advantageous
• Willingness to engage in continuing professional development and lifelong learning
