Shift: Day Shift

Job Description:

• The team members in this position are responsible for mixing the spices used in brine mixtures and prep carts for the Blender Mixer Machine Operators. Team members will transfer 50 pound bags of spice from the pallet at 6 inches above the ground to a table/cart that is at waist level. Here team members will open the bags and prepare them for weighing and dumping into the mixer. A small scoop is used for exact measurements. Team members may add extra weight to a single bag or carry a partial bag and scoop up to the mixer and transfer the spice at that time. Team members then monitor the brine mixtures, recording the addition of spices periodically through a shift.

Qualifications:

• Transfer spice blend to brine mixer or hoppers: Once measurements and mixtures have been made the worker may lift and carry the bags of mixed spices, place them on a cart to transport them to the brine mixer or hoppers.
• Review work orders and retrieve required ingredients: review work orders and retrieve ingredients from the warehouse.
• Help maintain and improve quality and food safety, to insure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
• Must be trained on GMP’s/JSTA’s/PPE.
• Must be able to pass BTE Level 2.
• Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check.
• Don proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Other duties as assigned.
