Overview

Talent Bridge Recruitment is seeking a General Sales Worker to support day-to-day sales activities and help deliver a positive customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, maintaining an organised sales environment, and contributing to the smooth running of sales operations.

The General Sales Worker will play an important role in assisting customers, supporting stock and merchandising activities, and helping the team meet sales goals through reliable, consistent service.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product information, pricing, and general sales enquiries
• Provide friendly, professional service to support a positive customer experience
• Support daily sales activities on the shop floor or sales area
• Merchandise products neatly and ensure displays are clean, organised, and appealing
• Replenish stock and monitor product availability
• Help receive, unpack, and check incoming stock
• Keep the sales area clean, safe, and well maintained
• Process or assist with basic sales transactions where required
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products
• Support the team in achieving sales targets and operational goals
• Handle customer questions or concerns professionally and escalate issues when needed
• Follow company procedures for stock handling, pricing, and customer service
• Assist with regular stock counts and inventory checks

Requirements

Required

• Previous experience in a sales, retail, customer service, or general worker role
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Matric or NQF Level 4
• Customer-focused approach with a professional attitude
• Basic numeracy and cash handling skills
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to assist with a variety of sales and store support tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions and company procedures
• Based in or able to travel to Brits, South Africa

Nice to Have

• Experience with stock control or merchandising
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems
• Experience working in a retail or customer-facing environment
• Product knowledge relevant to the employer’s industry
