Job Summary

Corner Market is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused General Store Associate to support daily store operations. This position involves assisting customers, stocking merchandise, operating the checkout area, maintaining organized displays, and helping ensure a clean and welcoming shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Assist customers with product questions and general store needs.
• Stock shelves and replenish merchandise throughout the store.
• Organize products and maintain neat, attractive displays.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, card, and other approved payment methods according to store procedures.
• Check product prices, labels, and shelf organization.
• Receive and organize incoming merchandise and supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock or damaged products.
• Keep the sales floor, checkout area, and storage spaces clean and organized.
• Assist with opening and closing store duties as needed.
• Respond to customer concerns professionally and help resolve routine issues.
• Follow store policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
• Work with team members to maintain smooth and efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, grocery, convenience store, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, helpful, and professional attitude.
• Good organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced store environment.
• Basic cash-handling and point-of-sale knowledge is helpful.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits.
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with routine store tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn store procedures and product information.
