General Technician – Bobcat

Role Overview

Kanoo Machinery is looking for an experienced General Technician – Bobcat to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The role is responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Bobcat heavy machinery and construction equipment across the full product range. The ideal candidate should be technically strong, capable of working independently, and able to accurately diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Knowledge of tractors and beach cleaning machines will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on Bobcat heavy machinery and construction equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and hydraulic issues by checking machine error/fault codes, inspecting wiring harnesses and electrical connections, and verifying hydraulic fluid and pressure levels.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to the required technical standards.
• Work independently to accurately identify faults and minimize rework and repeat failures.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical/hydraulic schematics, and parts information to identify required components.
• Complete assigned repair jobs efficiently within the allocated timeframe and labour hours.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship with a focus on zero rework and customer complaints.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding technical and warranty-related matters.
• Ensure full compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and applicable safety regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Bobcat machines and/or heavy construction equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to interpret machine error codes, wiring diagrams, wiring harnesses, hydraulic systems, and technical schematics.
• Ability to work independently and diagnose faults without continuous technical supervision.
• Knowledge or experience with tractors and beach cleaning machines is an advantage.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively within a technical service team.
• Technical education/qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Heavy Equipment, or a related technical discipline.
