General Technician

Job Summary
The General Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inspections of equipment, machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and other facility-related systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other technical issues.
• Inspect equipment and systems to identify faults and potential problems.
• Carry out minor repairs, replacements, and installation work.
• Assist with maintenance of air conditioning, lighting, water supply, and drainage systems, as required.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow safety procedures, company policies, and maintenance standards.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.
• Report major technical issues to the supervisor and assist specialized technicians when required.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform other technical and maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Technical diploma, vocational certificate, or relevant technical training is preferred.
• Previous experience in general maintenance or a similar technical role is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and facility maintenance.
• Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to perform maintenance tasks when required.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
