General Worker

Job Responsibilities:

• Daily Repairs: Fixing broken classroom furniture, changing light bulbs, replacing ceiling tiles, and patching minor drywall damage
• Event Support: Setting up chairs, tables, stages, and audio-visual barriers for convocations, exams, sports events, and student orientations
• Logistics Handling: Moving office documents, heavy furniture, and laboratory equipment safely between different academic faculties
• Assist & Safety Support: Assisting external contractors during major service overhauls and monitoring campus safety hazards like broken walkways
• Trade Assistance: Helping specialized campus technicians by carrying tools, digging trenches, or holding ladders during complex repairs.

Job Requirements:

• Physical stamina: Capable of walking long distances across campus, climbing laffers, and lifting up to heavy furniture and equipment
• Basic Tool Literacy: Familiarity with hand and power tools such as drills, hammers, screwdrivers, and painting equipment
• Polite Communication: Ability to interact respectfully with students, professors, and administrative staff on a daily basis
• Flexible Scheduling: Willingness to work on rotating shifts, weekends, or public holidays for urgent emergency repairs or weekend campus events
