Job Summary

The Generalist Developer (Python-Bash) is responsible for developing scripts, utilities, and software components to automate technical processes and support engineering teams. The role involves Python programming, Bash scripting, Linux system operations, debugging, and developing internal tools to improve productivity and operational efficiency. The candidate will collaborate with developers and systems engineers to troubleshoot technical issues and deliver reliable, maintainable, and well-tested solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Python programs and Bash scripts to automate repetitive engineering and operational tasks.
• Build, maintain, and enhance internal tools, utilities, and software components.
• Automate system administration activities, data processing tasks, and routine workflows.
• Work with Linux operating systems to execute scripts, manage processes, and troubleshoot system-related issues.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve software bugs, script failures, and system performance problems.
• Integrate APIs and automate interactions between internal tools and external services.
• Apply data structures and algorithms to develop efficient and reliable software solutions.
• Use Git for version control, code collaboration, and change management.
• Write clean, reusable, modular, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and validation to ensure software reliability.
• Monitor system behavior and conduct basic performance analysis to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with software developers, DevOps engineers, and systems engineers to understand technical requirements.
• Document scripts, technical solutions, system configurations, and operational workflows.
• Continuously improve automation processes to enhance engineering productivity and reduce manual effort.

Candidate Requirements

• Practical programming experience in Python.
• Good knowledge of Bash or shell scripting.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and fundamental programming concepts.
• Knowledge of Git and version-control workflows.
• Experience with API integration and task automation is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of system administration, process management, and performance monitoring.
• Strong debugging, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write readable, maintainable, and testable code.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.

Key Objective

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
