About the role

Global Officium Limited INC- Cubao is seeking a skilled and reliable Generator Technician to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and reliable operation of our power generation systems. As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of generator equipment that supports our operations. This position is essential to maintaining business continuity and ensuring that our facilities remain operational at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and commission new generator systems and associated equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, coolant checks, and battery maintenance
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge
• Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, alternators, control panels, and fuel systems
• Conduct electrical testing and safety inspections to ensure generators meet operational and regulatory requirements
• Keep detailed maintenance logs and service records for all generator equipment
• Respond promptly to emergency generator failures and provide rapid repair services to minimise downtime
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure seamless integration of generator systems within facilities
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised work environment
• Provide technical advice and training to staff members on generator operation and basic maintenance procedures

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Generator Technician or similar role in power generation or electrical maintenance, with at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience
• Strong knowledge of diesel and petrol generator systems, including engines, alternators, and control systems
• Competency in electrical systems, including voltage testing, circuit analysis, and electrical safety procedures
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and generator analysers
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in electrical engineering, diesel mechanics, or generator maintenance
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and standards applicable to generator operations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate service records and documentation
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to different locations as required
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions
• Preferred: Experience with industrial or commercial-grade generators and familiarity with generator control systems and monitoring software
