Generator Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment and machinery across multiple industries. Duties

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and schematics.
• Conduct welding and mechanical repairs, including heavy lifting when necessary, to restore equipment functionality.
• Diagnose electrical issues utilizing electrical experience and schematic diagrams to identify root causes.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and upgrades, ensuring all work adheres to safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair status and maintenance needs.
• Support automotive repair tasks or Caterpillar equipment maintenance as required, leveraging mechanic experience.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding,electrical work, mechanical repair, or automotive repair.
• Strong knowledge of schematics, power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting techniques.
• Experience working with Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
• Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex systems.
• Prior mechanic experience or automotive repair background is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work in various conditions requiring manual dexterity. This role is vital for maintaining operational excellence across our facilities while providing opportunities for skill development and career advancement within the industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
