Genset Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our project team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in generator systems, emergency backup power, fuel systems, and large-scale E&M projects.

What You'll be Doing

• Design, supply, install, test, and commission generator systems, emergency generator systems, and backup power for fire services and electronic loads.
• Manage generator sets, including LV/HV gensets, and fuel systems such as day tanks, underground tanks, and storage tanks.
• Prepare tender documents, contractual documents, and statutory submissions including DG and EPD submissions.
• Prepare CLP On-grid / Feed-in Tariff submissions for PV projects.
• Handle procurement, engineering design, negotiation, and issuance of orders for materials and subcontractors.
• Monitor work progress, coordinate interfaces, check builders' work, and manage signal interfacing.
• Organize equipment delivery, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
• Supervise subordinates on installation work.
• Process subcontractor payments, interim payment applications, and variation applications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, utilities, and related parties.

What We're Looking For

• Higher Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• E&M / building services experience
• Solid experience in generators, emergency power systems, fire services, or data centre projects.
• Familiar with statutory submissions (DG / EPD), CLP applications, fuel systems, and generator testing and commissioning.
• Able to manage projects, supervise subordinates, and coordinate multiple parties.
• Good command of spoken Cantonese, English, and Mandarin; good written English and Chinese.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and BIM (Revit & Navisworks).
