About the role

11-16 Construction Corporation is seeking a skilled and dedicated Geologist to join our team in Bulacan, Central Luzon. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our construction and development projects through comprehensive geological assessment, site evaluation, and geotechnical analysis. As a Geologist, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our projects are built on solid foundations, both literally and figuratively, by providing expert geological insights that inform critical decision-making processes. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety, sustainability, and success of our construction initiatives across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed geological surveys and site investigations to assess ground conditions, soil composition, and subsurface characteristics
• Perform geological mapping and analysis to identify potential geological hazards, including landslides, subsidence, and seismic risks
• Collect, analyse and interpret geological samples, core samples and borehole data to provide comprehensive site reports
• Prepare geological assessments and recommendations to support construction project planning and design phases
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure geological findings are effectively integrated into project specifications and safety protocols
• Monitor geological conditions during construction phases and identify any issues requiring immediate attention or remediation
• Maintain detailed records of all geological investigations, testing results and site observations
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and geological standards applicable to construction projects
• Provide expert advice on ground stability, foundation design and geological risk mitigation strategies
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and environmental agencies regarding geological permits and approvals

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
• Professional licensure as a Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer, as required by relevant Philippine regulatory bodies
• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in geological surveying, site investigation, or geotechnical assessment within the construction industry
• Proven expertise in geological mapping, borehole analysis, soil classification and subsurface investigation techniques
• Strong knowledge of geological hazard assessment, including landslide risk evaluation and seismic site characterisation
• Proficiency in utilising geological surveying equipment, drilling equipment and sample analysis tools
• Experience with geological software and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex geological findings to non-specialist audiences
• Professional certification or membership in relevant geological or engineering associations (preferred)
• Experience working on construction projects in the Philippines or similar tropical climate regions (preferred)
• Knowledge of Philippine Building Code, geological standards and environmental compliance requirements (preferred)
