Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Geophysicist to join our team and support geological investigations, subsurface exploration, and geophysical data analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and analyzing geophysical data to identify underground geological structures, assess natural resources, and provide reliable scientific information for exploration, engineering, environmental, and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with geophysical survey techniques, and the ability to use specialized software to interpret complex geological data. You will collaborate with geologists, engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals to develop accurate reports, evaluate project risks, and recommend practical solutions based on geophysical findings.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geophysical surveys using appropriate techniques, including seismic, magnetic, gravity, electrical resistivity, and electromagnetic methods.
• Collect, process, interpret, and analyze geophysical data to identify subsurface structures and geological formations.
• Prepare technical reports, maps, models, and presentations detailing survey results and project recommendations.
• Operate and maintain geophysical instruments and equipment while ensuring accurate data collection.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support mineral exploration, groundwater investigations, energy projects, environmental assessments, and civil engineering activities.
• Use geophysical software and data-processing tools to develop subsurface models and interpret geological conditions.
• Ensure that fieldwork and data collection comply with applicable safety procedures, environmental regulations, and project standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in geophysical surveys, data interpretation, or subsurface investigations is preferred.
• Proficiency in geophysical data-processing software, mapping tools, and analytical applications.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prepare accurate technical documentation and communicate findings clearly.
• Willingness to participate in fieldwork and travel when required by project needs.
