Geoscada Specialist

We are looking for a Senior SCADA and Software Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide technical guidance/mentorship to a small team of 3–5 junior-to-mid-level developers. This position is ideal for a self-driven engineer with strong systems integration experience and a solid background in industrial automation architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• SCADA Development: Design, implement, configure, and maintain SCADA systems utilizing GeoSCADA, InTouch, and System Platform.
• Team Guidance: Act as a technical lead providing guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and code reviews for up to 5 developers.
• Data Integration: Integrate SCADA systems with operational data historians (OSI PI, AVEVA/Wonderware Historian) for data acquisition, asset framework design, analysis, and reporting.
• Scripting & Automation: Develop custom scripts (JavaScript, Python, VBScript, or C#) to enhance system performance and functionality.
• Hardware & Protocols: Install, configure, and troubleshoot SCADA software with PLCs and industry-standard communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, TCP/IP).
• Collaboration: Partner with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to define system requirements, perform upgrades, and conduct system testing/commissioning with minimal operational disruption.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must-Have Expertise: Proven senior-level experience with GeoSCADA (including asset framework design and development), OSI PI, and InTouch.
• Platform Knowledge: Strong familiarity with AVEVA / Wonderware products (System Platform, Operations Control, Predictive Analytics).
• Protocols & Networking: Deep understanding of computer networking architectures and protocols (Modbus, OPC, DNP3, TCP/IP).
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, VBScript, Visual Basic, or C#.
• Pluses: Design or architectural experience in large, project-based industrial automation environments.

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
