Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GEP SMART Implementation Consultant with strong hands-on experience in GEP SMART – Source-to-Pay (S2P) and backend technical capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience implementing GEP SMART solutions, leading implementation teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

This role requires a strong combination of GEP SMART platform knowledge, technical implementation expertise, integration experience, data migration, and client-facing consulting skills.

Key Responsibilities

GEP SMART Implementation

• Lead and support end-to-end GEP SMART implementation projects.
• Configure and implement GEP SMART solutions based on business requirements.
• Translate functional and business requirements into technical solutions within the GEP SMART platform.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and product vendors throughout implementation.
• Lead implementation activities and ensure successful delivery within agreed timelines.

Data Migration & Transformation

• Lead data migration and transformation activities during system implementations.
• Analyze and map legacy data to the required GEP SMART data structures and formats.
• Develop data mapping and transformation strategies.
• Collaborate with technical teams to automate data conversion and migration processes.
• Validate migrated data and resolve data quality issues.

Integration & Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between GEP SMART and third-party systems.
• Work with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and iPaaS tools.
• Analyze integration requirements and define appropriate technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot integration failures and ensure reliable data exchange between systems.
• Work closely with technical teams to develop and maintain backend integrations.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute unit, integration, and UAT testing activities.
• Support test planning, test execution, defect tracking, and resolution.
• Troubleshoot technical issues identified during testing and implementation.
• Ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements before production deployment.

Production Support

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for GEP SMART applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Monitor system performance and application stability.
• Analyze recurring issues and recommend permanent solutions.
• Coordinate with GEP/product vendors for complex technical issues and resolution.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a technical consultant and primary point of contact for assigned implementation activities.
• Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and challenges.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical implementations.
• Conduct technical discussions and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Team Leadership

• Lead implementation teams and coordinate activities across functional and technical teams.
• Provide technical guidance to team members.
• Plan implementation tasks, track progress, and manage deliverables.
• Ensure implementation milestones are achieved within agreed timelines.
• Support knowledge sharing and best practices across the team.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with GEP SMART.
• Experience in GEP SMART – Source-to-Pay (S2P) implementations.
• Strong understanding of GEP SMART backend/application capabilities.
• Experience with data migration and data transformation.
• Experience mapping legacy data to new system structures.
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with third-party system integrations.
• Experience with middleware and/or iPaaS tools.
• Experience in unit, integration, and UAT testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
• Experience providing L2/L3 application support.
• Proven experience leading GEP SMART implementation teams.
• Strong client-facing and consulting skills.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on GEP SMART technical/implementation consultant, rather than someone with only general procurement or S2P functional experience.

The candidate should be able to independently:

Understand business requirements → Design GEP SMART solution → Lead implementation → Manage data migration → Build/coordinate integrations → Conduct testing → Troubleshoot issues → Support production → Lead implementation teams.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience

Candidates should have strong practical experience in GEP SMART implementation, preferably across multiple implementation or transformation projects.

Prior experience leading implementation teams is mandatory.
