We are looking for a passionate and capable German Language Instructor to join our growing academic team and deliver engaging, learner-centered German lessons to students in a virtual environment.

Job Description

The German Language Instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering interactive German language lessons tailored to the learner's age, level, learning objectives, and pace.

The ideal candidate should be able to make language learning practical, engaging, and enjoyable while helping students develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing German.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-on-one virtual German language lessons to students.
• Assess students' current German language proficiency and adapt lessons accordingly.
• Develop lesson plans and learning activities appropriate to each learner's level.
• Teach German vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and conversational skills.
• Incorporate interactive activities, multimedia resources, games, and practical conversations into lessons.
• Encourage students to communicate in German and build confidence using the language.
• Track individual student progress and identify areas requiring additional support.
• Complete brief session logs after each class.
• Participate in periodic student progress reviews and provide meaningful feedback on learner development.
• Prepare students for relevant German language examinations or proficiency goals where applicable.
• Maintain a professional and positive learning environment during virtual classes.
• Communicate professionally with the Academic Coordinator and follow Alpha STEM Academy's academic policies and procedures.
• Use digital teaching tools effectively, including video conferencing, virtual classrooms, online assessment platforms, and other educational resources.
• Continuously explore innovative approaches and resources that improve students' language-learning experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, diploma, certification, or demonstrable qualification in German Language, Languages, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Strong command of the German language, preferably B2/C1 level or above.
• Excellent spoken and written German.
• Good command of English.
• Previous experience teaching German, particularly to children or teenagers, is an advantage.
• Experience with online/virtual teaching is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with learners of different ages, abilities, and learning styles.
• Comfortable using digital learning and communication tools.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable device for virtual instruction.
• A patient, engaging, and learner-focused approach to teaching.
