Your Task

We are looking for an experienced operation specialist to strengthen our platform team. In this role, you are responsible for the stable, secure and highly available operation of hybrid infrastructures — primarily on-premise — with modern automation solutions complementing classic operations tasks. This is a challenging and varied position where you will utilize agile working methodologies and apply your foreign language skills in everyday communication.

Responsibilities

• Operation, support and continuous improvement of on-premise IT infrastructure
• Administration of Linux-based systems, Kubernetes clusters, and middleware components
• Implementation and maintenance of automation tasks
• Design and operation of monitoring and logging systems (e.g. Grafana, Icinga or similar devices)
• Contribute to the optimization of network and firewall architectures (LAN, WAN, routing)
• Working closely with architect teams for stable and scalable platforms
• Participation in the on-call system to ensure high availability

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced Operation Specialist with strong expertise in Linux systems administration, Kubernetes, automation, and networking, along with excellent German and English language skills to support hybrid infrastructure operations.

Must Have Skills

• Years of experience in operating systems (Linux, Kubernetes, security)
• Networking skills: LAN/WAN, routing, firewalls
• Strong, hands-on experience in automation (Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab, scripting, Python)
• CI/CD approach and tool use
• Knowledge of ITIL processes (incident and problem management)
• Experience in operation, debugging and performance analysis of complex systems
• Openness to the use of documentation and collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira)
• Active knowledge of German (minimum B2 level)
• Professional communication skills in English

Nice to Have Skills

• Knowledge of GitLab
• Knowledge of Terraform/OpenToFU
• Knowledge of Helm, Kustomize or GitOps based approaches
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure)
• Knowledge of Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions
• Experience in using REST APIs
• Knowledge of Oracle Database Administration
