German Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging German language lessons in accordance with the school s academic curriculum and learning objectives.
• Teach German language skills including reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, worksheets, activities, assessments, and other instructional resources.
• Create an interactive and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to communicate confidently in German.
• Assess students academic progress through classwork, assignments, tests, projects, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of students performance, attendance, and academic development.
• Provide appropriate academic support and remedial assistance to students who require additional guidance.
• Introduce students to German culture, traditions, literature, history, and contemporary life wherever relevant to the curriculum.
• Encourage participation in language-related activities, competitions, presentations, cultural programmes, and school events.
• Maintain classroom discipline and ensure adherence to the school s rules, policies, and professional standards.
• Use appropriate digital tools and educational technology to enhance language learning and student engagement.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students academic progress and areas requiring improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues and the academic leadership team for curriculum planning, assessment, and other academic requirements.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development programmes, workshops, orientations, and other school activities.
• Maintain professional conduct and uphold the values, policies, safeguarding requirements, and standards of the school.

Academic & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in German / German Language / German Literature or a relevant discipline.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred/required as per the applicable recruitment criteria.
• CTET/TET qualification, wherever applicable.
• Relevant teaching experience in a recognised school will be preferred.
• Strong command of the German language with good written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficiency in English for effective classroom and professional communication.
