What they need

Mō te tūranga | About the role

We're on the lookout for a General Worker to join our Albany Maintenance team as part of our first response crew. In this hands-on role, you'll help keep Auckland's North network safe, tidy, and working as it should. It's good, honest work with a team that backs each other and gets stuck in when it counts.

You'll be involved in cyclic and first response maintenance across roads, pathways, and public spaces. This role includes emergency response work and being part of a roster, working across AM and PM shifts, and weekends. If you like variety, enjoy working outdoors, and want to be part of a team doing good work for the community, this could be your place.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Carry out general labouring duties, including shovelling, sweeping, and site clean-up.
  • Clean culverts and catch pits, and clear debris from public areas.
  • Complete minor kerb, channel, and pothole repairs.
  • Maintain minor barriers, road signs, and other roadside assets.
  • Attend emergency callouts on a rostered basis, alongside standard-hours duties.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We're looking for someone with

  • A minimum Class 1 NZ driver licence.
  • A team-focused attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role, including hands-on manual work.
  • Flexibility to work AM and PM shifts, including after-hours work on a rostered basis.
  • A strong safety-first mindset and commitment to quality outcomes.

He pai te mahi, he pai ngā painga | Good work, good benefits

At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us. You'll have access to:

  • Medical insurance and Life insurance after the eligibility period.
  • KiwiSaver employer contributions after service milestones, up to 7%.
  • Parental leave top up payment with additional return to work support.
  • Ongoing training and development, with clear career growth and progression opportunities.
  • Great discounts at a wide range of retailers.

Ko wai mātou | About us

At Fulton Hogan, Good Work is about more than what we deliver. It's how we show up, how we treat each other, and how we keep moving forward together. We're a friendly and down-to-earth team where ideas matter more than titles. We take the work seriously, not ourselves, and when the stakes are high, we switch on and deliver.
