Duties

• Engage residents through face-to-face conversations to inform them about upcoming elections and voting procedures
• Conduct door-to-door canvassing in diverse neighborhoods, promoting voter turnout and participation
• Utilize mobile devices to record voter interactions, update outreach data, and track progress in real-time
• Build rapport with community members by demonstrating excellent communication skills and active listening
• Address questions about voting rights, registration processes, and polling locations with transparency and clarity
• Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach efforts and maximize community impact
• Represent the organization professionally, fostering positive relationships within the community

Requirements

• Prior experience in canvassing, field sales, marketing, or community engagement preferred
• Strong face-to-face communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively
• Experience in outdoor work environments and walking for extended periods is essential
• Bilingual abilities are highly valued to connect with a broader range of community members
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Experience in fundraising, telemarketing, or negotiation enhances outreach effectiveness
• Ability to operate mobile devices for data collection and communication purposes
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the team
