Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Purchase Trainee / Purchase Engineer to support procurement activities for our Valve Manufacturing Division. The candidate will be responsible for vendor coordination, purchase order processing, material follow-up, and maintaining procurement records.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing materials and components from approved suppliers
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs)
• Follow up with suppliers for quotations, deliveries, and documentation
• Coordinate with Stores, Production, Planning, and Quality departments
• Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, and procurement reports
• Compare quotations and prepare cost comparison statements
• Track material deliveries and ensure timely availability of materials
• Support vendor development and supplier evaluation activities
• Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures

Required Skills

• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Basic knowledge of procurement and supply chain concepts
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
• Ability to coordinate with suppliers and internal departments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in the procurement function
