GI PIPE INSTALLER/TECHNICIAN

About the role

This role involves hands-on installation work for security systems, including GI pipes, conduits, trunking, CCTV cameras, access control devices and Wi-Fi Access Points. You will perform cable pulling, routing, dressing, drilling, mounting and termination work, following project drawings and site requirements while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install GI pipes, conduits and trunking for security system installations
• Carry out cable pulling, routing and dressing works
• Install and mount CCTV cameras, access control devices and Wi-Fi Access Points (APs)
• Perform drilling, mounting and other hands-on installation works
• Run, terminate and label Cat5e/Cat6 network cables and power cables
• Assist with CCTV, access control and other security system installations
• Assist with basic system testing, troubleshooting and maintenance
• Follow project drawings, site requirements and installation instructions
• Ensure all installation works comply with safety and quality standards
• Coordinate with project coordinators and provide work progress updates

About you

• Must have hands-on experience in GI pipe / conduit installation
• Qualification required for Malaysian applicants
• Experience in CCTV, access control or other security system installation is an advantage
• Experience in cable pulling and cable termination is an advantage
• Able to use power tools, drills, ladders and basic installation equipment
• Basic knowledge of CCTV, IP cameras, NVRs or network cabling is an added advantage
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on installation work
• Responsible, reliable and willing to learn
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
