Gift Wrapper / Gift Wrapping Assistant

Who we are

We are a London based Gift Wrapping business that covers events throughout the UK from PR events, corporate wrapping in offices, shopping centres and more.

We are looking for seasonal staff to attend events in the run-up to Christmas across the whole of the UK.

About the role

An on your feet job where you will be gift wrapping on the spot for customers, whilst they wait, to a professional standard.

Our gift wrapping stations are generally pop-up stands that take place in shopping centres, corporate buildings and PR events. We require you to be able to wrap in front of the customer in a quick, neat and professional manner. You must be able to use double sided tape and tie the perfect bow.

Responsibilities:

• Wrap gifts according to customer preferences and specifications
• Ensure all gifts are wrapped neatly and professionally
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate gift wrapping materials and accessories
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
• Keep track of inventory and restock gift wrapping supplies as needed
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily gift wrapping targets

Hours

As with any event work, our hours do vary depending on the event and location.

Shifts are usually for 4 hours and can be during the week, at weekends and either during the day or evenings.

We welcome any applicants who wants temporary or part time work.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple gift wrapping requests simultaneously
• Basic math skills for measuring and cutting wrapping paper accurately
• Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and handle high volumes of gift wrapping requests
• Ability to upsell additional gift wrapping services or accessories to customers

PLEASE STATE WHERE YOU ARE ABLE TO WORK AS THERE ARE OPPORTUNITIES TO TRAVEL AROUND THE UK ON PROJECTS.

As part of the interview process, you will be asked to attend an in-person interview on the 24th October in central London. You will be expected to show your wrapping skills including wrapping a circular item and a normal box. This will be timed whilst being observed. If you cannot attend then a zoom call can be arranged.

To make your application successful, you must be able to do the following:

* Provide a cover note with your application

* Attend a zoom or in-person interview where you will be asked to wrap a box and a circular item with perfect satin bow

* Be able to use double sided tape

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From £15.00 per hour

Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• customer service: 1 year (preferred)
• Professional Gift Wrapping: 1 year (required)

Willingness to travel:

• 25% (required)
