GIS Data Analyst

Great opportunity for a GIS Analyst to join an established enterprise within its engineering division. In this technical role, you will create, modify, and support critical spatial infrastructure data utilized across key operational systems, including assisting with Positive Train Control (PTC) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute geospatial data assembly, system inventory analysis (counts, mileage, measurements), and versatile GIS services.
• Convert field spatial data into structured digital networks aligned with database standards.
• Review, validate, and approve geospatial data change sets from CAD technicians.
• Perform topology corrections and geometric modifications using GIS tools to maintain data quality.
• Collaborate across teams to leverage spatial technology for operational efficiency and cost savings.
• Assist the Senior GIS Analyst on organizational projects as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of GIS experience using ESRI software (ArcGIS).
• Python scripting proficiency and intermediate SQL/database querying skills.
• Hands-on experience with spatial data editing, preparation, and analysis.
• Strong cross-departmental communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available).

Preferred: TFS, Esri JavaScript API, ArcGIS Online/Pro, relational databases.

Schedule & Location: 12-month contract based in Midtown Atlanta (4 days in-office, 1 day remote) featuring modern workspace amenities and paid parking.
