About the role
You will assemble and install 275kV GIS bays and SF6 busducts under the direction of OEM erection supervisors, following strict cleanliness and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Position and align GIS modules, bays and busduct sections
- Assemble flanges, connectors and enclosures following OEM procedures and cleanliness controls
- Help with SF6 gas handling, evacuation and filling under supervision
- Support lifting and rigging of GIS components
- Keep work areas clean and controlled to OEM standards
- Record assembly steps and torque values for QC
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience installing GIS or HV switchgear (132kV and above preferred)
- Experience working under OEM supervision (e.g. on European or Japanese GIS)
- SF6 gas handling training or certification is an advantage
- Familiar with torque procedures, rigging and lifting
- Valid CIDB Green Card
