GL Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a GL Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger records, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end and year-end closing, and supporting the preparation of financial reports and audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the General Ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and properly classified.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
• Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely completion of assigned schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of BIR tax compliance requirements, including VAT, withholding taxes, SAWT, eAFS, and other related schedules.
• Provide necessary schedules and supporting documents for external and internal audits.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, or related field.
• Must be a CPA.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting and month-end closing procedures.
• Experience in account reconciliation, journal entries, financial reporting, and audit support.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and BIR compliance is an advantage.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work collaboratively with the Finance & Accounting team.
