GL & AR Executive (Joo Koon, Basic + AWS, MNC)

Our client is a well-established organisation seeking an experienced GL & AR Executive to join their Finance team.

The Role

You will be responsible for both General Ledger and Accounts Receivable functions, supporting accurate financial reporting and timely month-end closing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments and other adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing and prepare closing reports and schedules.
• Handle Accounts Receivable activities including invoicing, receipt posting and account reconciliation.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
• Prepare AR ageing reports and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Assist with GST reporting and ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with audit requirements and provide relevant schedules when required.
• Support other accounting and finance-related assignments as required.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience in GL and AR is preferred.
• Good knowledge of journal posting accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Experience in month-end closing and GST reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
