Global Commodity Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute MRO category strategies aligned with business and global procurement objectives.
• Lead RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, including supplier identification, evaluation, commercial analysis, and selection.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, service agreements, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and cost optimization opportunities through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, spend analysis, and supplier negotiations.
• Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery, cost, and service levels.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking, and cost analysis to support sourcing and procurement decisions.
• Ensure contract compliance, including commercial terms, pricing, service levels, and procurement policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Finance, Quality, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective sourcing solutions.
• Lead procurement projects and initiatives to improve supplier performance, procurement efficiency, and overall MRO spend management.
• Track and report category performance, savings, supplier KPIs, and other relevant procurement metrics to management.
• Support the implementation of global procurement strategies and initiatives at the local level.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, standardize sourcing activities, and strengthen supply continuity.

• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to present strategies, business cases, and performance metrics to management and key stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, or category management.
• Experience in MRO procurement or related industrial/manufacturing categories is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiations, RFP/RFQ management, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Experience working with cross-functional and international stakeholders is an advantage.
