NYC | Hybrid schedule (4 days in office)

We're partnering with a leading global financial services firm to hire a Global Payroll Director . This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for overseeing the company's end-to-end global payroll function, including payroll operations, governance, accounting, controls, compliance, vendor management, and payroll strategy across multiple jurisdictions.

Key highlights:

• Lead and develop a global payroll team
• Own payroll governance, controls, and audit readiness
• Partner closely with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, HR, and senior leadership
• Oversee payroll implications of equity compensation (RSUs, stock options, etc.)
• Drive payroll technology, automation, and process improvements

Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience
• Multi-state U.S. payroll expertise with global payroll exposure
• Strong payroll accounting, SOX/internal controls, and audit experience
• Experience managing equity compensation through payroll
• Experience leading teams and managing outsourced payroll vendors
• CPP designation preferred
• Experience with major payroll platforms and HCM/ERP systems (Ceridian Dayforce a plus)

Compensation:

$200-300k total comp + $50-100k equity
