For a global technology and engineering organisation, we are looking for a seasoned Global People Partner / Senior HR Business Partner to take end-to-end ownership of the People & Culture agenda for a significant international business division.

The opportunity

Working directly with the division's senior leadership team, you will translate business strategy into a global people agenda and act as a trusted sparring partner on organisation, workforce, talent and transformation topics.

The business operates internationally and combines hardware, software and technology solutions. It is navigating continued organisational and business-model transformation, making this a highly visible role with significant opportunity to shape the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the People & Culture agenda for a global business division
• Partner with and challenge senior business leaders on organisation and people decisions
• Translate business strategy into strategic workforce and capability plans
• Drive strategic workforce planning, including capability gaps, skills shifts and make/buy/borrow decisions
• Partner with Finance on headcount and personnel-cost planning
• Lead organisation design, restructuring and transformation initiatives
• Drive talent reviews, succession planning and leadership development
• Support the retention and development of critical talent
• Translate global P&C frameworks into practical divisional implementation
• Implement job architecture, grading and calibration approaches
• Establish effective people governance, decision rights and approval processes
• Support reward cycles and evolving European regulatory requirements
• Coordinate effectively with Centres of Excellence, HR Operations and local People teams
• Support people-related aspects of M&A, integrations or carve-outs where required

What we are looking for

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial experience as a senior HR Business Partner or People Partner
• Experience owning the people agenda for a sizeable international business unit or division
• Strong strategic workforce planning and people analytics capabilities
• Proven organisation design, restructuring and transformation experience
• Hands-on experience with talent reviews, succession and leadership development
• Experience implementing global HR/P&C frameworks within a business
• Strong understanding of job architecture, grading and people governance
• Experience operating across multiple countries and within complex matrix organisations
• Exposure to European labour environments and employee representation
• Commercial mindset and confidence discussing business performance, headcount and cost with senior leaders
• Ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively
• Fluent English; German or another European language would be advantageous

Experience within industrial technology, engineering, software/hardware, automation, or comparable environments would be particularly relevant.

Location

The role can be based at an appropriate European hub . International travel will be required.
