GM - Corporate Planning

JOB PURPOSE & OVERVIEW

Lead the development and execution of the organization's corporate strategy, business plans, enterprise performance management framework, sustainability agenda, and strategic transformation initiatives by providing strategic direction, governance oversight, and organizational alignment to achieve long-term business objectives, operational excellence, and stakeholder value creation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Planning & Business Planning

Lead the formulation of corporate long-term plans, and business priorities by evaluating organizational objectives, economic trends, industry developments, and stakeholder expectations to ensure sustainable growth and alignment with the organization's vision and mission.

Oversee the translation of corporate priorities into executable business plans, resource allocation strategies, and enterprise initiatives by collaborating with senior leadership and business functions to drive organizational performance and achievement of strategic objectives.

Direct the annual planning cycle by integrating divisional plans, budget priorities, and key organizational initiatives into a cohesive corporate roadmap to strengthen strategic alignment and resource optimization.

Enterprise Performance Management, Governance & Process Improvement

Direct the enterprise performance management framework by establishing corporate KPIs, performance measures, governance mechanisms, and monitoring processes to ensure organizational performance is effectively measured, tracked, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Oversee performance reporting and strategic reviews by analyzing organizational results, identifying performance gaps, evaluating business outcomes, and recommending corrective interventions to support informed decision-making and continuous performance improvement.

Drive organisation-wide process improvement initiatives by reviewing business processes, operational performance, governance practices, and service delivery effectiveness to enhance efficiency, strengthen organizational capabilities, optimize resource utilization, and support the achievement of strategic objectives.

Transformation, Innovation and Organizational Excellence

Lead organizational transformation and innovation initiatives by identifying emerging opportunities, evaluating business challenges, and sponsoring enterprise-wide improvement programs to enhance organizational effectiveness, agility, and competitiveness.

Provide strategic advisory and thought leadership to senior management by leveraging organizational insights, performance intelligence, scenario analysis, and future-focused assessments to support evidence-based decisions and successful delivery of the organization's strategic agenda.

Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by championing new ideas, strategic initiatives, and capability-building efforts across the organization to strengthen long-term performance and organizational sustainability.

Stakeholder Management & Corporate Alignment

Drive enterprise-wide alignment by facilitating strategic planning, performance reviews, and cross-functional collaboration initiatives with senior management and business leaders to ensure effective execution of corporate priorities and organizational goals.

Represent the Corporate Planning function by communicating strategic direction, organizational performance, transformation priorities, and key business insights to management, Board Committees, regulators, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen transparency, accountability, and decision-making.

Sustainability, ESG and Corporate Responsibility

Lead the organization's sustainability and ESG agenda by establishing strategic frameworks, governance structures, targets, and implementation plans to integrate environmental, social, and governance considerations into corporate planning and decision-making processes.

Oversee sustainability and ESG performance by monitoring key indicators, assessing organizational impact, and driving improvement initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen organizational resilience, regulatory compliance, and long-term stakeholder value. Industry best practices increasingly position ESG as an integral component of corporate strategy, performance management, stakeholder engagement, and value creation.

Educational Qualification & Relevant Experience (skills & knowledge)

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Strategic Management, Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Master's degree in business administration (MBA), Strategy, Economics, or equivalent is preferred.

• Relevant certification such as Balanced Scorecard Professional (BSP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent, Lean Six Sigma, SDG and/or ESG would be an added advantage.

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in corporate planning, strategy, performance management, transformation, organizational excellence, or related fields.

• Minimum 7 years in a senior leadership position with enterprise-wide responsibilities.

• Proven experience in strategy development, business planning, KPI governance, organizational performance management, and transformation initiatives.

• Experience engaging with Executive Management, Board Committees, regulators, government agencies, and external stakeholders.

• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional strategic initiatives and organizational improvement programme.
