GM - Manufacturing Audit / Technical Audit

Role & responsibilities

Lead the Technical Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk Management function, providing independent assurance on manufacturing operations, process safety, asset reliability, governance, compliance, and risk management across manufacturing plants and corporate functions.

• Develop and execute a risk-based audit plan covering manufacturing units and corporate functions.
• Lead technical, operational, process safety, compliance, and forensic audits.
• Evaluate plant performance, capacity utilization, yield optimization, energy efficiency, inventory management, and cost controls.
• Assess Process Safety Management (PSM) systems, including HAZOP, MOC, incident investigations, permit-to-work systems, and emergency response preparedness.
• Audit asset reliability and maintenance practices, including preventive maintenance, shutdown management, and equipment integrity.
• Drive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), including risk assessments, mitigation planning, and monitoring of key enterprise risks.
• Review effectiveness of SOPs, internal controls, policies, and Delegation of Authority (DOA) frameworks.
• Leverage data analytics and digital tools to identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and operational risks.
• Present audit findings, risk insights, and improvement recommendations to senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
• Ensure timely closure of audit observations and deployment of best practices across plants.

Preferred candidate profile

• 18+ years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Manufacturing Assurance.
• Strong exposure to Chemical, Fertilizer, Petrochemical, or Process Manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience in Technical Audits, Process Safety Audits, Plant Operations, ERM, and Operational Excellence.
• Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, regulatory compliance, and process safety requirements.
