Our client is a well-established local manufacturing enterprise specializing in B2B product solutions, commercial formulations, and mass-market consumer supply. Operating on a large industrial scale, the organization maintains multiple integrated production facilities and supplies high-volume food service chains, industrial clients, and commercial partners across the region.

Position Overview

They are seeking a high-caliber, hands-on General Manager of Operations to drive daily manufacturing excellence, plant throughput, and operational discipline across the enterprise. Reporting directly to the Board / Operations Director, this critical role sits one level below executive ownership and holds end-to-end accountability for a multi-site operational footprint comprising 3 manufacturing facilities, a workforce of >than 1000 employees, and an aggregate production capacity of 3,000 - 5,000 tons/day.

Key Responsibilities

• Multi-Site Operational Leadership: Direct overall plant operations across 3 manufacturing sites to meet aggressive volumetric targets while enforcing world-class standards in safety, productivity, and yield.
• Wet Filling & High-Speed Processing: Drive operational execution across specialized high-speed wet filling, liquid processing, emulsification, and thermal packaging lines, ensuring continuous-flow efficiency and minimal product loss.
• Scale & Capacity Management: Optimize production planning and line utilization to maintain output targets approaching 3,000- 5,000 tons/day across diverse packaging formats and SKU portfolios.
• Workforce & Plant Management: Lead, mentor, and structure an operational workforce of over 1,000 personnel across plant leadership, floor supervisors, engineering, and shop-floor technicians.
• Cost Control & Operational Excellence: Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) frameworks to minimize downtime, reduce scrap/waste, and optimize cost-per-ton metrics.
• Quality & Compliance Oversight: Partner closely with QA/QC, EHS, and Supply Chain to ensure strict compliance with regional safety standards, Halal regulations, ISO/HACCP certifications, and audit standards.
• Capex & Plant Expansion: Oversee operational Capex initiatives, equipment installation/commissioning, and automation upgrades across facilities to support business expansion.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of operational leadership in large-scale FMCG or food manufacturing, with proven success managing multi-plant operations.
• Technical Expertise: Deep, hands-on exposure to wet filling technologies, liquid processing lines, and automated packaging systems is essential.
• Scale Proven Track Record: Demonstrated capacity managing high-volume operations (multi-thousand tons daily output) and large-scale manufacturing teams (1,000+ headcount).
• Reporting Level: Experience operating directly at the executive level, serving as a key operational deputy to the Operations Director and company principals.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Technology, or Operational Management.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional leadership under high-pressure environments, strong P&L mindset, data-driven operational rigor, and excellent labor relations management.
