GM Sales

An automotive General Sales Manager (GSM) oversees a dealership's entire new and used vehicle sales operation, managing department managers, sales targets, and inventory levels. [1, 2]Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Hire, train, supervise, and mentor new-car and used-car sales managers and sales representatives. [1, 2]
• Sales Forecasting: Partner with the General Manager to create annual and monthly goals for unit sales, gross profits, and operating expenses. [1, 2]
• Inventory Management: Monitor daily lot inventory to ensure a proper mix of vehicles for maximum turnover efficiency and profitability. [1, 2]
• Process & Compliance: Ensure the sales team follows dealership policies, customer retention standards, and local/state/federal trade regulations. [1, 2, 3]
• Deal Closing: Assist sales staff with complex customer negotiations and finalize deal settlement sheets. [1, 2]
• Marketing & Merchandising: Establish and maintain high standards for vehicle display, advertising campaigns, and lot promotions. [1, 2]

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3 to 5+ years of successful experience as a New/Used Car Sales Manager or Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager.
• Leadership: Proven ability to build, coach, and motivate a high-performance sales team.
• Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of dealership financial data, gross profit margins, pricing strategies, and commission structures.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills for handling client escalations and cross-departmental coordination. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Pay: ₹65,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
