Goalkeeper Coach – Part-TimeBased in Harrow, Greater London

Kick Ups Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and experienced Goalkeeper Coach to join our growing coaching team.

The main focus of the role will be delivering high-quality goalkeeper-specific training to players across different age groups and ability levels.

Please note: Although this is primarily a Goalkeeper Coach position, on some days you will also be required to support and deliver general football coaching sessions for children aged 5–15. Applicants must therefore be confident coaching both goalkeepers and outfield players.

Working Hours

Training sessions currently take place on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Part-time hours: approximately 2–8 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging goalkeeper-specific training sessions
• Develop goalkeeper skills including handling, positioning, footwork, distribution, shot-stopping, 1v1s and decision-making
• Work with goalkeepers across different age groups and ability levels
• Support general football coaching sessions for players aged 5–15 when required
• Plan and lead structured, enjoyable and age-appropriate sessions
• Provide positive feedback and support individual player development
• Set up and pack away equipment before and after sessions
• Maintain a safe, positive and professional coaching environment
• Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children
• Administer basic first aid when required and appropriately qualified

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience coaching goalkeepers and/or football
• Minimum of 1 year of coaching experience
• Confident working with children aged 5–15
• Enthusiastic, responsible, reliable and professional
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident demonstrating goalkeeper and general football techniques
• Able to work Thursdays and Saturdays
• Willing to support general football sessions when required

Desirable Requirements

• FA coaching qualification or equivalent
• Goalkeeper coaching qualification
• Valid Enhanced DBS/CRC check (this can be completed through Kick Ups Academy)
• First Aid qualification
• Safeguarding qualification
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Recruitment Process
