What they need
Blood Stain Games is looking for a talented and motivated full stack game developer to assist with the development of a 2D isometric action roguelite for PC/Steam, developed using the Godot Engine.
This is a part-time, remote contract position with flexible working hours. This is not a full-time position and is particularly suitable for students, freelancers, independent developers, or developers who are looking for flexible project-based work alongside other commitments.
About the Project
The project is a single-player 2D action roguelite for PC/Steam, with gameplay and progression elements inspired by games such as Hades.
The game will focus on fast-paced action combat, exploration, repeated expeditions, character progression, challenging encounters, and roguelite progression systems.
The project is being developed with its own original setting, characters, enemies, abilities, visual direction, and gameplay systems. The project is not intended to reproduce or use content, characters, assets, or other protected elements from Hades.
The game will feature:
- Fast-paced combat
- Exploration
- Enemies
- Elite encounters
- Bosses
- Relics
- Character progression
- Procedurally generated and/or seeded expedition elements
- Different heroes
- Weapons
- Abilities
- Environmental hazards
- Corrupted regions
Players will progress through different corrupted regions, encounter different types of enemies and elite encounters, fight challenging bosses, collect relics and upgrades, and develop their characters throughout their expeditions.
The overall gameplay direction is intended to appeal to players who enjoy action roguelite games such as Hades, while the project itself will have its own original gameplay systems, world, characters, enemies, art, and progression.
The game is being developed in Godot Engine, and we are looking for developers who have knowledge and practical experience with Godot and can contribute to the project according to their area of expertise.
Graphics & Art Direction

https://smallscaleint.itch.io/hd-8-directional-top-down-character-pack-1
