Job Title: Godown Supervisor / Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an organized, disciplined, and proactive Godown Supervisor to oversee the daily operational activities of our storage facility. You will lead a team of godown associates, manage incoming and outgoing shipments, maintain pristine inventory records, and ensure strict compliance with all safety protocols. The ideal candidate will optimize spatial layout, minimize handling delays, and ensure the highest standards of stock accuracy.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

Inbound & Outbound Operations

• Supervise the loading, unloading, sorting, and staging of goods.
• Inspect incoming items against purchase bills, delivery notes, and invoices for accuracy and quality control.
• Coordinate picking, packaging, and dispatch workflows to meet strict shipment timelines.

Inventory & Space Management

• Maintain highly accurate stock ledgers by logging every transaction into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Conduct routine physical counts, spot audits, and cyclic stock checks to reconcile variations.
• Plan and optimize the physical layout of the godown to maximize floor capacity and ease of retrieval.

Team Supervision & Leadership

• Delegate daily tasks, assign workloads, and set clear productivity targets for godown staff.
• Train new hires on safe handling techniques, operational procedures, and heavy machinery use (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Track attendance, manage shifts, and evaluate worker performance regularly.

Safety, Maintenance, & Security

• Enforce safety protocols like proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use and secure material handling.
• Perform routine facility walks to eliminate fire hazards, blockages, or structural issues.

Manage equipment upkeep schedules (forklifts, scanners, weighing scales) and secure the site gates against theft.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
